• 335.2 Leaving Notice When delivery of numbered insured, registered, certified, or other special services articles cannot be made for any reason, complete and leave PS Form 3849, Delivery Notice/Reminder/Receipt. Endorse the article with the reason for nondelivery, such as No Response; enter route number and the date; initial on article; and return it to the delivery unit.

• 336.1 Obtain on Form 3811 the signature of person receiving the registered, certified, or numbered insured mail when the form is attached and/or the article is endorsed, Return Receipt Requested. Enter date of delivery in the space provided. See that the address side of Form 3811 is completed (see exhibit 336.1).
   
• 336.2 If the article is endorsed, Return Receipt Requested -- Showing Address Where Delivered, enter the address where the article was delivered in space provided.
   
• 336.3 If the article is endorsed to indicate delivery is restricted, it should be treated in accordance with section 335.12.
